JB Heaters’ Ceramic Infrared Heat Elements are highly efficient, durable heaters designed to provide long-wave infrared radiation. These ceramic and infrared heaters are versatile and widely used across various industrial and engineering applications, such as thermoforming, packaging, paint curing, printing, and drying processes. They are also commonly used in infrared outdoor heaters and saunas. JB Heaters offers a range of ceramic elements, including ceramic trough, hollow, and flat elements, which can be customized to meet specific requirements.

Operating Features

Ceramic infrared elements operate at temperatures ranging from 300°C to 700°C (572°F – 1292°F), producing infrared wavelengths in the 2 to 10-micron range. This wavelength range is ideal for heating plastics and many other materials, making ceramic heaters the most popular infrared radiant emitters on the market. JB Heaters also provides aluminized steel reflectors to maximize infrared radiation by directing it toward the target area.

Construction

The element wire in these Ceramic Infrared Heaters is embedded in a glazed refractory material, which protects the wire from environmental exposure, thus extending the heater’s lifespan. Under normal operating conditions, the heater can last over 10,000 hours at 80% power, depending on the application. JB Heaters offers versions of these ceramic heaters with or without built-in J or K Type Thermocouples, and they are available in various colors, including yellow, white, and black.
