Construction
Ceramic Strip Heaters are built with ceramic insulation, which quickly transfers heat from the resistance wire to the sheath, maintaining low internal temperatures and extending heater life in high-stress conditions. The resistance wire is precisely placed to ensure uniform temperature distribution across the width and length of the heater.
The inner construction features a wound nichrome resistance coil, threaded through ceramic insulator pieces. The coils are connected to screw terminals or high-temperature lead wires, ensuring a secure connection. MgO (magnesium oxide) is used to fill the open spaces around the coils, improving thermal conductivity and dielectric strength, resulting in efficient heat transfer and durability even in high-temperature applications.
